How to Wrap a Candle in Elegant Tissue Paper
A light, airy paper gently caresses the sides of your luxurious candle. At the top of the present, flowing ribbon gathers the extra tissue paper together in a tight bunch, creating an end section of paper the jets upward.
In our previous article, we showed you how to gift wrap a candle using the classic pleat. In this article, we'll show you how to charm your loved ones with a simple yet gracefully-wrapped candle using tissue paper.
If you’re giving a romantic gift, the delicate nature of this wrapping option is perfect and it's also super easy to do!
What you'll Need
- Tissue paper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Ribbon
- Gift tag (optional)
Take liberty with choosing tissue paper. You can’t go wrong with a solid color. Nothing says sophistication like coordinating the color of your tissue paper with the color of your candle jar. A solid tissue paper looks impeccable when coordinated with brightly colored Harlem Candle Company candles!
Ribbon adds another layer of personality to the gift. For a glitz and glam feel, add a thick gold ribbon, like the one we used in this article. For a natural feel, a piece of twine also works.
Step 1
Place the candle an inch above the bottom edge of tissue paper. Secure the tissue paper to the edge of the candle and tightly roll. Once you reach the second edge of tissue paper, secure it to the candle with a second piece of tape.
Step 2
At the bottom side of the candle, fold the tissue paper to the base of the candle and secure it with tape.
Step 3
Tie the excess tissue paper at the top of the candle with ribbon.
And You're Done!
